SM’s warning is less about cold weather and more about hard times that will be harder if we let socialists spend like money is infinite and “the government should just pay for everything.” It’s easy to promise (someone else’s) to welfare recipients when you think the government has some magic bag of infinite money, instead of realizing something else must NOT be paid for to fund something new. Socialism will ruin Western Civilization. (Example: France)

The hyper-exponetially increasing US debt should be a big clue that spending is indeed occurring as if there is no tomorrow – because at some point soon, there won’t be. Until then, it’s just a matter of seeing just how hard one can ratchet up the taxes, whilst reducing expenditure maintaining ‘sandcastle’ infrastructure. Every bit helps toward assuring continuity of technologically advanced civilisation.
Meanwhile, those who don’t know about cataclysm have bought the propaganda that it is socialism that is ruining things.

Posted by David Montaigne | December 14, 2018, 1:53 amI very much doubt there are any off-world sanctuaries (even in low Earth orbit). It doesn’t make economic sense. However, I daresay there is an aspiration to be able to do this in 12,000 years time.
For this cataclysm, the sole objective is to preserve our current technological capability – underground (in a variety of locations).
I suspect there are already subterranean breakaway civilisations (possibly, even uninformed of topside conditions), simply because of the logistics of populating them when cataclysm becomes imminent. However, in some cases, a manufactured threat of nuclear annihilation, along with a WW3 psyop that it’s happening, may be sufficient to move enough folk into a bomb shelter (that turns out to be an underground city).
The extent of taxation and other labour extraction (Federal Reserve, inflation, boondoggles, fraud, etc.) exceeds most people’s imagination, and as they can only imagine waste and extravagance (mansions, yachts, jets, etc.), they assume that that excess is the only excess beyond necessary governmental expenditure, i.e. that labour extracted = visible expenditure. Some have an inkling of ‘black projects’, but unless one knows the expense of preparing cataclysm resilient sanctuaries, one can conceive of nothing requiring such vast expenditure.
You can see the trajectory of the Great Mission going back thousands of years, notably via the Knights Templar (zodiacal flag). No such multi-millennial mission is created with an objective to provide luxury & power for the descendants of select bloodlines – even if that is a helpful coincidence.
So, as waste and corruption are merely cover explanations, you should be thrilled… :-}
There are those who say mankind should be happy to ebb & flow (yin & yang) as cataclysm comes and goes, that he should be happy to live in ecological harmony like the aborigines, and so meekly inherit The Earth. But then again, it shouldn’t be too surprising that there exists a cabal of illuminati striving to complete a mission initiated by the builders of the Great Pyramid (one or more great years ago) to have mankind escape Samsara – whether the aborigines like it or not.
