An article by a professor at Notre Dame was brought to my attention by another professor at a different university. Quite often university professors seem universally contaminated by liberalism but this analysis is SPOT ON. They understand it is not a failure in western education systems to educate our children any better; failing to teach them the cultural roots of their own nation, and to have them understand the foundation of Western Civilization is very intentional and deliberately designed into curriculum.
A student with a good knowledge of their culture and history, with the ability to use reason and logic – that student can grow up to be a troublesome employee – full of opinions and expectations. An ignorant student, devoid of such thoughts, receptive and obedient, can be more adaptable to corporate and government expectations. This liberal education, by design, helps destroy Western Civilization and nation states in favor of globalism, corporatism, and multi-culturalism. At least, until the people produced in this system submit to a foreign culture with strength and backbone to fight for cultural domination, as predicted….
The video below is based on the article: “How a Generation Lost its Common Culture” by Patrick Deneen. His article begins: “My students are know-nothings. They are exceedingly nice, pleasant, trustworthy, mostly honest, well-intentioned, and utterly decent. But their brains are largely empty, devoid of any substantial knowledge that
might be the fruits of an education in an inheritance and a gift of a previous generation. They are the culmination of western civilization, a civilization that has forgotten nearly everything about itself, and as a result, has achieved near-perfect indifference to its own culture….”
I cannot emphasize enough how worthy the article and video are. Take some time for it.
The commenting narrator on this video, saddened by Europe’s obvious decline, notes: “Our children are taught to respect the identity of others and pay no attention to their own…. They are taught not to be themselves, but to be global citizens.” Only diversity and conformity are taught.
The professor who wrote the article (Deneen) caps his thoughts with: “I can’t help but hold the hopeful thought that the world they have inherited – a world without inheritance, without past, without future, or deepest cares – is about to come tumbling down – and that this collapse would be the true beginning of a real education.”
One teacher commented below the video:
Kudos to Way of the World on Youtube for the amazingly poignant and well-argued video below:
Talking of Notre Dame, but in Paris, rather than Indiana, it has two large towers at the front, signifying Sirius & Sol, and a central, large 12/24 segmented window denoting the 12 ages of the zodiac, lasting 24 millennia – the great year, being the orbital period of Sirius & Sol. The main cathedral is also a huge cross, itself, a simplification of the Zodiac (cardinal points).
NB Jesus is a figurative representation of the cross – not vice versa.
And, as Kenneth Grant writes in ‘Cults of the Shadow’:
“Set: The prototype of Shaitan or Satan, the God of the South, whose star is Sothis. Set or Sut means ‘black’, the main kala or color of Set is black, or red (interchangeable symbols in the Mysteries), which denotes the underworld or infernal region of Amenta. As Lord of Hell, Set is the epitome of subconscious atavisms and of the True Will, or Hidden Sun.”
The star Sothis, or Isis, is better known today as Sirius.
So, Sirius is the hidden sun, Sol’s twin.
Those who supposedly worship Satan are merely worshiping Sirius.
But then, if the consequence of the Sun/Sirius orbit is that mankind gets wiped out every 12,000 years in a pole shift, it’s not too surprising that Satan has misanthropic connotations.
“I can’t help but hold the hopeful thought that the world they have inherited – a world without inheritance, without past, without future, or deepest cares – is about to come tumbling down – and that this collapse would be the true beginning of a real education.”
To hope for the end of the world, given how terrible that is, is not laudable – admittedly, a beginning for a tiny few, but an absolute end for most.
However, perhaps Deneen has an inkling of the explanation as to why things are being directed in the way they are?
A ‘tumbling down’ isn’t far off from ‘pole shift’.
