So it seems that 12800 years ago a comet broke up into several pieces and smashed into our planet, mainly on to the ice sheets of the northern hemisphere.
The impacts not only set 10% of the planets bio mass alight, but also caused a earth crust displacement. The continent of Antarctica ended up being shifted from warm latitudes to directly over the south pole.
The shift is debatable but only as far as the speed of it..
Posted by Ric F | October 19, 2019, 7:32 pmI know Hancock and others I respect say the comet impact is 100% proven, but much of the proof can also come from immense waves of cosmic dust from solar micronovas and/or galactic superwaves. Despite the impact crater in northern Greenland (I’m not so sure that was anywhere near 12,800 years ago) I am not as convinced as many others that such an impact is the cause of the pole shift. I think my frequent commenter Zod is correct that instead, comet impact is the politically acceptable cause because that is one time and not cyclical and periodic and won’t lead anyone to question how soon the next one is due.
