Steven Ben DeNoon recently made a youtube video discussing how close we are to the end times, and also made a very interesting analogy to the two witnesses.
In the second chapter of the Book of Joshua, Joshua sends a pair of spies to Jericho to assess the situation and the strength and battle preparations of the city they intend to take when the Israelites soon cross the Jordan River and enter the Promised Land. They come to Rahab, a prostitute, who gives them information and helps them hide for three days in exchange for saving her and her household. The two spies return to Joshua, and the Israelites soon conquer Jericho after a seven day siege during the week long holiday of Passover.
This parallels the Two Witnesses of Revelation, who witness to the harlot (the unfaithful masses) –probably starting at Passover – and they do so for 3.5 years, then their bodies lay in the street for 3.5 days before Judgment Day.
In both cases, the harlot is not inherently evil, just gone astray. In both cases, God uses two men to send a message. There is a delay for a period of three. Many are judged and killed, a small number are saved.
Watch the video, and consider that a lot of evidence points to the fulfillment of major end times Bible prophecies within the next few months:
